I am an aspiring hip-hop/r&b music producer, but here in State College, we do not have any hip-hop/r&b stations. So, I have decided to subscribe to All Hip-Hop Review, HoodHype Hip-Hop Talk and Underground Music, and IndieFeed: Hip Hop Music podcasts to keep up the new music that is coming out. After all, one should know about what is currently going on in their field.
I listened to an episode of All Hip-Hop Review; in that episode I learned that Jadakiss, a very popular rapper from the Ruff Ryders label, is now has a joint contract with Ruff Ryders and Roc-a-fella Records. This is big news in the world of hip-hop, since Roc-a-fella is the prized company of Jay-Z, arguably one of the best rappers ever, and Jadakiss’s talent is respected around the rap community. He would give The Roc a huge popularity boost and anyone who loves hip-hop will have high expectations for the music released by Roc-a-fella, since they will be stacked with some of the most notable artists in hip-hop like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and now Jadakiss.
